We are seeking an experienced Practice Leader AI/ Data with a strong background in AI/ML technologies, Data Engineering, and a deep understanding of BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) applications and use cases. This role requires expertise in data pipelines, ETL processes, and working with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). The ideal candidate will also have experience with cutting-edge technologies in AI/ML, including Generative AI (GenAI), and will be responsible for architecting solutions in a client-facing capacity, engaging directly with BFSI clients. You will lead the design of AI solutions while ensuring strict adherence to BFSI data security standards and compliance regulations.
  
Key Responsibilities

  • AI/ML Solution Architecture: Lead the design and development of scalable AI architectures and systems for BFSI applications. This includes designing AI/ML models for fraud detection, customer segmentation, credit scoring, financial forecasting, and more. You will also implement Generative AI (GenAI) solutions tailored to BFSI needs. Hands-on experience is required to build prototypes for demonstration and communication.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as a trusted advisor to BFSI clients by understanding their unique challenges and needs. Collaborate closely to design customized AI solutions that deliver business value. You will communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the client’s strategic goals and defining success metrics.
  • Data Engineering & Integration: Lead the development and optimization of data pipelines and ETL processes for BFSI data using Azure, AWS, and GCP. Ensure seamless integration of diverse BFSI data sources, including transactional data, customer data, market data, and other relevant sources into AI models and systems.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that all AI-driven solutions comply with BFSI data security standards and regulatory requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, and other data privacy regulations. Lead efforts in ensuring that sensitive data is handled securely, minimizing risks while enabling innovative solutions.
  • Innovation and Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI/ML technologies, particularly in the BFSI sector. Continuously identify opportunities to apply emerging technologies to solve business problems, such as AI-driven risk management, automated customer support, predictive analytics, and more.
  • Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work alongside business leaders, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure AI solutions are aligned with business needs and deliver measurable results. Foster a collaborative environment to ensure seamless integration between business objectives and technical implementations.
  Required Skills and Qualifications

Education:
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • A Ph.D. in AI/ML or BFSI-related fields is a plus.
  
Experience:
  • 10+ years in AI/ML architecture, Data Engineering, and building data pipelines.
  • Proven experience working with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern AI/ML tools and technologies.
 BFSI Expertise:
  • Strong knowledge of BFSI data systems and experience working with BFSI-specific data sources (e.g., transaction data, customer profiles, financial data).
  • In-depth understanding of BFSI regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and experience ensuring compliance in data handling and model development.
  AI/ML Technologies:
  • Hands-on expertise in AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Keras.
  • Experience in Generative AI (GenAI), predictive analytics, and other AI/ML applications for BFSI, including fraud detection, customer risk assessment, market forecasting, and more.
  Cloud and Data Engineering:
  • Expertise in building and deploying data pipelines and ETL processes in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Familiarity with tools like DataBricks, Apache Spark, and other big data technologies is highly desirable.  
Client-Facing Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable presenting to C-level executives and working directly with clients to define business requirements.
Leadership:
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior team members.
  • Experience creating a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven working environment.  
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in AI/ML, Data Science, or BFSI-related fields.
  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, Google Professional Data Engineer).
  • Experience building AI solutions for fraud detection, financial modeling, market prediction, customer segmentation, and other BFSI-specific domains.
