Overview
We are seeking an experienced Practice Leader AI/ Data with a strong background in AI/ML technologies, Data Engineering, and a deep understanding of healthcare applications and Use Cases. This role requires expertise in data pipelines, ETL processes, and working with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). The ideal candidate will also have experience with cutting-edge technologies in computer vision and Generative AI (GenAI) and will be responsible for architecting solutions in a client-facing capacity, engaging directly with healthcare clients. You will lead the design of AI solutions while ensuring strict adherence to healthcare data security standards and compliance regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- AI/ML Solution Architecture: Lead the design of scalable AI architectures and systems for healthcare applications. This includes designing models for computer vision tasks (e.g., medical imaging analysis), implementing Generative AI (GenAI) solutions that address healthcare-specific needs, as well as AI/ML models for medical diagnostic and prognostics. Hands on experience is required to be able to build prototypes for presentation and communication.
- Client Interaction: Act as a trusted advisor to healthcare clients, understanding their specific challenges and needs, and working closely with them to design tailored AI solutions that drive business impact. You will communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with them to define success metrics.
- Data Engineering & Integration: Oversee the development and optimization of data pipelines and ETL processes for healthcare data using Azure, AWS, and GCP. Ensure the seamless integration of diverse healthcare data sources (e.g., EHRs, medical imaging, sensor data) into AI models and systems.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure that all AI-driven solutions comply with healthcare data security standards and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and GDPR. You will lead the effort in ensuring that data is handled in a secure and compliant manner, minimizing risks while enabling innovation.
- Innovation and Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI/ML technologies, specifically in healthcare, and continuously identify opportunities for applying emerging technologies to healthcare problems. You will be responsible proposing the use cases and solution for the Healthcare clients.
- Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, product managers, engineers, and other business stakeholders to ensure that AI solutions are aligned with healthcare needs and deliver meaningful outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Engineering, or a related field. A Ph.D. in AI, ML, or a healthcare-related field is a plus.
- Experience: At least 10+ years of experience working in AI/ML architecture, Data Engineering, and building data pipelines. Proven experience working with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern AI/ML tools and technologies.
- Healthcare Expertise: Strong knowledge of healthcare data systems and experience working with healthcare-specific data sources (e.g., electronic health records, medical imaging). In-depth understanding of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR and experience ensuring compliance in data handling and model development.
- AI/ML Technologies: Hands on expertise in computer vision, Generative AI (GenAI), and AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and Keras. Familiarity with medical imaging, medical NLP, and other healthcare-related AI applications.
- Cloud and Data Engineering: Expertise in building and deploying data pipelines and ETL processes in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP). Familiarity with DataBricks, Apache Spark, and other big data technologies is highly desirable.
- Client-Facing Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Comfortable presenting solutions to C-level executives and working directly with clients to define business requirements.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior team members, and create a collaborative, innovative working environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in AI/ML, Computer Vision, or a related field.
- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning or Google Professional Data Engineer).
- Experience in building AI solutions for specific healthcare domains (e.g., medical imaging, EHR systems).
